Helping Your Clients Stay Connected, Independent, and Safe
TrustedRiders partners with community agencies to provide trained, certified, and compassionate chaperones for the older adults, adults with disabilities, and vulnerable clients you serve. We accompany clients to healthcare visits, essential errands, and social activities — by any form of transportation or on foot — so your agency can extend its reach and deepen its impact.

Why Your Clients Need a TrustedRiders Chaperone
Addressing Social Determinants of Health
Community agencies work every day to address the social determinants of health that affect the clients they serve — isolation, lack of transportation, and gaps in continuity of care. A TrustedRiders chaperone is more than a ride: our chaperones often act as a friendly visitor who develops an ongoing connection with the person they accompany, frequently supporting the same client across multiple appointments over multiple weeks or months.
This continuity builds trust, encourages follow-through on care plans, and gives your agency an extra set of eyes and ears in the community — helping you spot concerns early and stay connected to clients between your own visits.
Missed Doctor Appointments and 911 Calls
Seniors miss doctors appointments due to transportation issues
An estimated 15%-30% of doctor’s appointments are missed by seniors due to transportation problems.
Older adults often call ambulance service for non-emergency needs
Conversion to rideshare transport to primary care providers saves transport costs and avoids more costly ER protocols.
Rideshare companies are already partnering with healthcare systems
Partnerships exist to bridge the senior transportation gap, but more can be done.
How We Help
Caregiver Respite and Relief
Family caregivers supported by your agency often carry the full weight of getting a loved one to appointments, errands, and social activities — on top of work, their own families, and daily life. TrustedRiders gives caregivers a trusted, screened, and certified chaperone they can count on, offering real respite and relief while ensuring their loved one is never navigating a trip alone.
Supporting a Wide Range of Appointments and Errands
Community agency clients need reliable transportation for far more than medical visits — case management check-ins, benefits appointments, adult day programs, pharmacy runs, grocery trips, and social activities. TrustedRiders chaperones support all of it, helping your agency close transportation gaps that would otherwise keep clients from getting the services and connection they need.
Giving You Safety and Security
TR Chaperones give your clients added safety and security in every trip, whether to a medical appointment, a benefits office, or an errand across town.

TrustedRiders provides a screened, trained, and certified chaperone as a companion for the full trip — there and back. Our chaperone eliminates the need for a driver to leave their vehicle to assist a passenger, making rideshare, other commercial transport, and volunteer driver services accessible to clients who couldn't safely use them alone.
TR is Pre-booked for Your Clients' Rides, Coordinated Directly with Your Agency
For your client's ride, a TR Chaperone is pre-booked in advance by TrustedRiders working directly with your case managers or intake staff, sparing your agency the burden of coordinating transportation. With the client's schedule in hand, TR will pre-book Chaperones according to your instructions. Your team can then reach TR when the client is ready, and the TR Chaperone will be there to meet them.
TR Checks in on Your Client's Wellbeing Upon Arrival Home
TR Chaperones ask clients how they are doing upon arrival at the door and will report any concerns to your agency's case manager or on-call staff, often quicker than a scheduled follow-up call — giving your team an early signal if additional support is needed.
Obstacles to Senior Rideshare Use
Safety: Seniors cite background checks for drivers, legality and safety as their top reasons for not accessing rideshare apps.
Generational Resistance: Resistance to change and new things; Rideshare vehicles are not as familiar as identifiable taxis connected to local dispatch.
Technological Competence: For older people, the jump to using an app on a smartphone to request a ride can an obstacle.

Why TrustedRiders?
Builds on Existing Systems and Initiatives
TrustedRiders utilizes existing HIPAA- compliant rideshare platforms (we’re not reinventing the wheel).
TrustedRiders augments the existing rideshare platform with a system to allocate senior Chaperone resources, management, and accountability. This enables a premium service to be offered at a nominal cost.
